Step Up 2 the Mic is a Singing Competition for Kids created by entertainment veterans Darryl “DMC McDaniels, Eddie Lemons and Matthew Earl Jones is a singing contest for kids ages 8-12 making family-friendly entertainment content with a universal appeal. Hosted by Talia Rayna a teen actress and singer. Kids are given a chance to appear on national TV. With the possibility of winning a recording deal, a scholarship and home studio.. Top contestants will work with vocal and production coaches. The top 3 contestants will compete for the grand prize at the School of Rock in Scottsdale, Arizona.
